About The Los Angeles Pottery Show
The Los Angeles Pottery Show began when producers Ken Stalcup and Dennis Warden solidified their passion for art pottery into an annual gathering of the best exhibitors in the art pottery world in one large event to promote the collecting of art pottery ranging from contemporary to vintage to antiques in 1999 by educating collectors and instilling a passion for ceramics.
After the Los Angeles Pottery Show 2016, longtime producers and founders Ken Stalcup and Dennis Warden made the difficult decision to retire from running LAPS, and announced that LAPS 2016 was the last show. After hearing the sad news, current owner Kyle M. Shiroma made the big decision to revive the show and build on the solid foundation laid by Ken & Dennis, and continue their legacy into the next generation of art pottery enthusiasts.
Promote talented contemporary ceramic artists, foster education on vintage & antique art pottery and connect artists and exhibitors to collectors and fans alike and spread the passion for beautiful ceramics.
