Revival Arts Studio at the Los Angeles Pottery Show
The Los Angeles Pottery Show is pleased to announce that Stephani Stephenson of Revival Arts Studio will be exhibiting at the show. A trained sculptor, avid student of history and master of ceramic arts, Stephani Stephenson began working with clay in 1980, and earned a BA and MFA in her field. She then embarked on a career as a sculptor, showing in Northwest galleries until the late 1990s.
In 1998, after a clay residency in Spain, Stephenson relocated to San Diego where she immersed herself in the history, materials and techniques of early 20th Century tile and architectural ceramics. First sculpting and designing for Alchemie, a large production studio, she launched her own business, Revival Tileworks, in 2000.
In 2005, Stephenson organized a national tile conference in Pomona, CA, coordinating with the American Ceramic Society and the American Museum of Ceramic Arts.
Relocating her studio to SE Arizona in 2010, Stephenson still holds to time honored methods, sculpting all of her designs, formulating and mixing her own glazes. As Revival Arts Studio she continues to work with customers from all over the country and the globe to create unique projects; fireplaces, murals, architectural components, or just a special tile for framing.
