Annie’s Garden Ceramics

This beautiful and functional art pottery is both designed and hand crafted by Annie Aldrich at her own ceramics studio in Big Bear Lake in Southern California. All of her work is individually hand crafted of durable high-fire stoneware, using only lead-free glazes making them food-safe and water-tight.

This beautifully functional pottery, though also mainly decorative, is also intended for daily use and is made to last a lifetime and beyond.

Annie’s signature wall pocket vases are water tight for use with fresh flower arrangements or live potted plants, and are suitable for both outdoor and indoor use. Annie’s use of lead-free glaze formulas ensures that plates, dishes and beverage containers are food safe, and are microwave oven and dishwasher safe.

Annie grew up in a time when kids played outside, public schools offered art and music classes, and things made by hand, from the heart had value.

Influences throughout her life – from the wonders of nature, to the endless possibilities of artistic creation, are reflected in her work. Annie’s unique style incorporates soft semi-matte glazes, a cool palette of colors and imprints from real leaves and plants to create a look that is fun, yet earthy and elegantly sublime.

Annie studied Art and Ceramics at California State University, Chico, and currently lives in Big Bear Lake, California.

To this day, Annie can be found playing with clay, creating in the studio, or playing outside on a bike, pair of skis, or in the garden.
